/24-7PressRelease/ — Ms. Quesinberry states, “‘Seasons of Thunder – Volume I,’ discloses the prospects of success of Batjibilibili as a career woman, wife and mother during four presidencies and their associative effects on the lives and livelihood of community, career and home. This is a first-person narrative where many accounts lead us to believe ‘Seasons of Thunder’ represent life in sub-Saharan Africa. Teedzani has written an expose’ women and men alike will desire to read. This is a gripping novel, which encompasses three volumes sharing the protagonist’s lifetime. Well done Teedzani!”

Teedzani Thapelo was born in Jacklas No.1 village in Tati East, Botswana and educated at McCon-nell College, the University of Botswana, the London School of Economics and the School of Oriental and African Studies, Uni-versity of London in Britain. He has worked as a teacher, research assistant, research associate, uni-versity lecturer, researcher and human rights campaigner. In 2003, he was nominated Fellow of the Institute of International Education at the University of New York and he spent the period 2004-2005 as Africa Guest Researcher and Visiting Scholar at Nordic Africa Institute at Uppsala, Sweden. He has lived and travelled in England, France, Sweden, Canada (I was married to a Canadian for ten years), South Africa, Zimbabwe and Bots-wana, where he is now permanently a resident at Mapoka Village in Tati West, with my eighty-one years old mother and my little boys, Davis, seven and Rabasi, six. Alex, the eldest, now fourteen, is studying in Canada and lives with his mother who teaches at Oshawa in Toronto. Some of Mr. Thapelo’s articles have been published in newspapers, magazines and peer-reviewed journals. “Season of Thunder” is his debut novel.

Volume I of “Seasons of Thunder,” shares the life of Batjibilibili and introduces readers to indecent proposals, love trysts, and the growth in spite of it all as an emerging female and community leader. While Batjibilibili loves her husband, Ntungamili (a recluse poet consumed with contemplative inertia and angst); she spends most of her time with Satjilombe, a Member of Parliament and senior minister in the Office of the President. She does not love the politician. She feels dirty and disgusted after making love to him. The story of her life is unraveled against the bedrock of four successive political rulers throughout the three volumes, which comprise “Seasons of Thunder.”
